Family Camp Info When: Friday, July 8, after 4 pm until Sunday, July 10, Noon Location: Take Hwy 34 to Estes Park, at the first light in town turn right on the Hwy 34 Bypass, follow this past the Stanley Hotel to MacGregor Ave. turning right onto MacGregor Ave. Look for a large overhead gate on the left side with a keypad entry. Entry code is 2433. Go in here and look for the camping area. If you get to the main ranch you’ve gone too far. When: Friday, July 8, after 4 pm until Sunday, July 10, Noon What
to bring: The whole family! Food (supper, breakfast &
snacks), whatever equipment you would bring for "car camping", clothing
for warm days and chilly evenings. Firewood - we will NOT gather wood
on the ranch property. Books or cards (in case of rain) Potable
water is available at the site.
And please bring your ideas and gear for activities and demonstrations.
In the past we have built activities around camping equipment, cooking,
fire starting, nature, and group games..
This is a family event. Scouts and other young family members must be under the supervision of their parents at all times. This is also an opportunity to learn the basics of responsible outdoor recreation. Please discuss these rules with your Scout:
